San Francisco Anniversary Trip - Day 4

Day 4 didn't yield too many great photo options but I did grab these two which I obviously like. It was nice to visit the city by the bay for a third time and grab a few more shots for my inventory as well as celebrate Laura's and mine 1-yr. anniversary. That last morning we grabbed breakfast in a greasy spoon and worked it off by climbing Telegraph Hill up to the base of Coit Tower. We needed one last picture...one for us.
It was great staying in North Beach, amongst a great yet diverse community. I think it's safe to say that we have found a place that will become a familiar backdrop for many more getaways in what we know will be a long and wonderful marriage. Thanks San Fran!!

San Francisco Anniversary Trip - Day 3

2AM Sunday MorningSunday brought our actual 1-yr. anniversary and LP and I caught a 1:05 afternoon Giants game against their Bay Area rival, the Oakland A's. We hoofed-it a couple of miles over to the ballpark for an afternoon of sun, suds and baseball. Giants World Champs Mural

San Francisco Anniversary Trip - Day 1

Laura shopping for Cheese and Wine...her favorite!!
ChinatownColumbus Ave. - This was our neighborhood during our stay in San Francisco. View from Telegraph Hill Coit Tower is a 210 ft. tower located in the Telegraph Hill neighborhood of SF. The tower, located in the city's Pioneer Park, was built in 1933 at the bequest of Lillie Hitchcock Coit to beautify the city of San Francisco: Coit bequeathed 1/3 of her estate to the city "to be expended in an appropriate manner for the purpose of adding to the beauty of the city which I have always loved".
City Lights Bookstore is an independent bookstore-publisher combination that specializes in world literature, the arts and progressive politics. Founded in 1953 by Lawrence Ferlinghetti and Peter Martin, City Lights became famous following the obscenity trial of Ferlinghetti for publishing Allen Ginsberg's influential poem Howl and Other Poems (City Lights, 1956). Trattoria Pinocchio sits on one of the most bustling corners in North Beach. We were fortunate to be staying across the street from this authentic Italian resto and were greeted every morning with the wonderful aroma of garlic. YUM!!!

My Office

As most of you know, I started working at Uchiko here in Austin a little over two months ago. In all honesty, for someone who has worked in the resto biz for most of my working life, it has been a dream come true for me to get the opportunity to work in an award-winning establishment and alongside some of the industry's finest contributors. I recently have started to work with our social-media director and had the chance to take my good camera in to grab some pictures she may be able to use. I hope you like them!!
