Every Teardrop is a Waterfall - Coldplay - Boston Garden - 7.30.12

The closing number from last night's sold-out concert at the Garden. Amazing!!

Coldplay - TD Garden - Boston, MA - 7.30.12

Ever since we knew we were moving up to the Boston area, I had this concert marked on my calender. One of my favorite musical acts of the last decade, this fifth time seeing them turned out to be by far, the best Coldplay show I have ever seen!!
I wonder what this little bugger does...

So that is what it does. Amazing!!

Charlie Brown - Coldplay - TD Garden - Boston, MA - 7.30.12

Some pretty amazing video I shot at the Coldplay show in Boston last night. Coldplay has taken the concert experience to new levels with the use of the light-up bracelets that help make this performance one of the best I have ever seen.

Aftermath

Laura and I took in our second Red Sox game, this past week, since we moved here to Massachusetts. The first one was almost an instant classic with Salty hitting a 2-run HR in the bottom of the 9th inning to tie the game and send it to extra innings. Unfortunately the bullpen gave up 3 runs in the top of the 10th inning and ruined our night. And it appeared that our second trip to Fenway was going to end in a loss as the Sox offense could not get anything going all game. That was until the bottom of the 9th inning. The rally started when they put a couple of runners on base to start the inning and then sent Cody Ross to the plate. The picture above can tell you what happened next!!

 Happy Fans!!
*For those who can't tell...he hit a walk-off 3-run HR to win it and send the Fenway faithful home full of joy!!

Lenox Industrial Tools 301 - Loudon, New Hampshire - 7.15.12

Despite spending a large chunk of her life living down the road from maybe the most famous racetrack in the world, the Daytona International Speedway, Laura had NEVER attended a NASCAR race. Well thanks to a great Groupon deal, we decided to head up to NH and enjoy a day or beer, brats, BBQ, and fast cars. Although she "didn't get it" I think Laura enjoyed herself and can scratch that off the 'to-do' list in her life. Let's Go Racin', Boys!!

The Freedom Trail

Acorn Street
Yesterday, Laura and I decided to get in touch with our nation's history. So we decided to walk the entire Freedom Trail in Boston. The trail leads 2.5 miles through the city and visits 16 significant historic sites. Blessed with temperatures in the 80's and bright sunshine, it wasn't a bad way for LP and I to get 5 miles of walking in and see our new city from a historical point of view. Here are just a few of the images I captured along the way.

Portsmouth Air Show - 6.30.12

Laura and I added yet another activity to our ever-growing list of fun events when we attended the Portsmouth Air Show. As a kid I was a military aircraft enthusiast and even had aspirations of being a pilot. I frequently attended air shows back home in Fort Worth and even spent late afternoons with my dad at the end of the runway at Carswell AFB, watching the bombers and jets do their touch-and-go practice runs. Aaaah, the memories. Now it was time to create new ones with my wife as this would be her first air show. With the Blue Angels performing it was a no-brainer to set out that Saturday for a day of loud jets!!
