SF Giants Opening Day - AT&T Park - San Francisco, CA - 4.8.14
Well as you may of noticed, Laura and I have moved on to our next city. In mid-March we said goodbye to LA and headed north to the Bay Area. Since we arrived, we have just settled into our new area in Redwood City. Being big baseball fans, we could not pass up a chance to see Opening Day in our third different ballpark. AT&T Park in San Fran is one of our favorites. With its panoramic views of the bay and great fan-experience the club gives you, we knew we had to be there for the first game of the 2014 season. This place is special to us because it is where we spent our first anniversary back in 2011. Blue skies and 75 degree sunny weather made for another memorable Opening Day!!

Game 3 NLDS - Braves vs. Dodgers - Chavez Ravine - 10.6.13
Well, we were lucky to land tickets to the first home game of the NLDS for the Dodgers and it did not disappoint!! The Dodgers defeated the Braves 13-6 in front of a raucous crowd of 53,000+. We had a blast watching the Dodgers get a step closer to their ultimate goal of a World Series. The Dodgers eliminated the Braves the next night to advance to the NLCS. Fun times here for baseball fans in Los Angeles!! Go Blue!!

SF Giants vs LA Dodgers - 9.15.13 - Chavez Ravine
Once we arrived in LA, we didn't waste any time getting back to what we do best: Have Fun!! We took in a Dodger game vs their hated rival the SF Giants. Although, the Dodgers lost, the playoffs are coming, and we are planning on being there when it matters most!!

The question isn't "What are we going to do," the question is "What aren't we going to do?".
Before Laura and I head out west, we decided to go visit our friends the Lessmanns in Chicago. It was a great weekend as their apartment gave us a great setting for a BBQ and to watch the Chicago Air & Water Show. We also took in a show at the famed Second City in their Old Town neighborhood. With talk of the Cubs changing up or leaving Wrigley Field, I decided I wanted to go see it this summer and with their arch rivals the Cardinals in town, this was a no-brainer. I think you'll see from the pictures below, it was an amazing weekend!!

Midsummer Classic in NYC
The MLB 2013 All-Star Game takes place this year at Citi Field in Queens for the first time since 1964. Festivities were held all over the city including my neighborhood right near mid-town. The players stayed at the Westin Hotel (5 blocks from our front door) and the Red-Carpet parade came down 42nd Street starting at Bryant Park and ending at 3rd Ave. It was hard to believe this collection of the best players in the game was just down the street from me so I had to go out and see them as they drove through mid-town. Although we didn't splurge on tickets, it was fun to see the game's best all in one location and we will enjoy watching the game tonight. Once again I am reminded of how cool it is to live in this city!!
